EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS 2022
in Munich!
Mark Spitz winning seven gold medals; West Germany defeating Netherlands
in the 1974 FIFA World Cup Final; 70,000 people rocking out to AC/DC –
Munich Olympic Park is in the business of creating moments, a legacy set to continue in 2022 when Munich Olympic Park opens the
next glorious chapter in its storied history! On the occasion of the 50th
anniversary of the 1972 Summer Olympics, Munich Olympic Park is set to
welcome European Championships 2022.
The architects of the Park were visionaries – designing a multi-functional
park in the heart of Munich that has hosted more than 14,000 events.
However, since the summer of ’72, none of those events will compare to
11 to 21 August 2022, when
4,400 athletes from across Europe descend on the Bavarian
capital to compete in nine sports, in the pursuit of one of the
158 gold medals on offer.
The sustainability of the European Championships 2022 is assured, only
using pre-existing infrastructure, minimalizing the impact the
Championships will have on the surrounds. Short commutes are further
enhanced, thanks to the close proximity of the venues and excellent public
transport routes connecting Munich Olympic Park to downtown Munich.
Be here. Be part of it.
